Energize Delaware Programs
D-PACE is designed to help qualifying commercial, industrial, agricultural, nonprofit and multifamily (with five or more units) property owners access long term financing for the installation of qualifying energy improvements. Such improvements may include any construction, renovation or retrofitting of energy efficient technology, clean energy systems, or qualifying waste heat recovery technologies that are permanently fixed to qualifying commercial property.
This program, developed to help farmers and other agri-businesses to receive loans up to $2,000,000 and rebates up to $100,000 towards new HVAC systems, solar systems, lighting, poultry house insulation, irrigation pump replacement and more.
This program enables farmers to apply for low-interest loans to enact energy efficiency measures, including customer-sites renewable energy generation and greenhouse gas emission measures.
Farmers and other agri-business owners with solar electricity can earn extra income by selling their excess energy back to Delmarva Power through the SREC (Solar Renewable Certificates) Energy Auction.
Other Programs
This U.S. Department of Agriculture program provides financial assistance for farmers and other agri-businesses to buy, install and construct renewable energy systems, make efficiency improvements, participate in feasibility studies, and more.
Another program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, EQIP offers financial and technical assistance to help you plan and implement conservation practices that improve soil, water air and animal-related natural resources.
This program exclusively for Delaware Electric Cooperative members provides grants to cover up to 30 percent of the cost to convert existing irrigation pumps from diesel to electric.
