Support That Works as Hard as Your Land

Explore grant and rebate programs that empower Delaware farmers to save energy, lower costs, and invest in a more sustainable future.

Rural Energy for America Program (REAP)

Administered by the USDA, the REAP program provides financial assistance to agricultural producers and rural small businesses for renewable energy systems, energy efficiency improvements, energy audits, and feasibility studies.

Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)

Administered by the USDA, the EQIP program is a voluntary initiative that provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers to plan and implement conservation practices that improve soil, water, air, plant, animal, and other natural resources on agricultural and nonindustrial private forestland. It can also help producers comply with environmental regulations at the federal, state, tribal, and local levels.

Irrigation System Conversion Grants

Grants are available to Delaware Electric Cooperative (DEC) members to convert irrigation pumps from diesel to electric. The grant covers 30% of the total non-utility cost of the conversion.

Eligible expenses include parts and labor for installing an electric motor and starter, removing the existing gear head and components, and electrician services. This Cooperative program is funded by the State of Delaware’s Energy Efficiency Investment Fund.

Eligibility: Systems with a minimum load of 40 kW qualify for funding. To receive the non-utility grant, applicants must be approved by DEC and meet the requirements of the DEC Irrigation System Grant Program.
