The Residence Inn at Chestnut Run Opens with Energize Delaware’s Support

A new Residence Inn by Marriott recently opened on the Chestnut Run Innovation & Science Park (CRISP) in Wilmington, just steps from Merck’s billion-dollar campus. The 127-room hotel, developed by the MRA Group in partnership with Gulph Creek Hotels, features apartment-style suites, a first-floor bar, conference space, and an outdoor patio.

We’re proud that Energize Delaware played a role in making this project possible, serving as one of the incorporated lenders alongside WSFS Bank, with financing arranged by D2 Capital Advisors. It’s a great example of how energy-efficient financing can support major economic development projects right here in Delaware, bringing new investment, jobs, and visitors to the state while keeping sustainability part of the conversation from day one.

The hotel is the latest milestone in MRA Group’s broader transformation of the former DuPont site into a life sciences hub, which has already attracted major tenants like Merck, Prelude Therapeutics, and Solenis.
